Introduced in 1967 as BOSSE, in 1975 as INGO and in 1979 as UFFE, the IVAR shelving unit family has maintained its functionality and ease of use with only minor updates to its design. In 1984 the name changed for the last time, but the timelessness of its design was recognised even in the slogan: "A shelf so perfect that we can only change the name."
